Marked: Numbers 1:47, But the Levites were not numbered among them by their fathers’ tribe.
The Levites were not numbered because they had a special responsibility to look after the things of God.
Christians too, have been set apart, sanctified to the things of God. The things of the world are not our responsibility nor should we concern ourselves with what the world does. We are set apart to worship God and do the things of God.
1 Peter 2:9-10 instructs us, “But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; who once were not a people but are now the people of God, who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy.”
