Read: Psalms 140-145
Marked: Psalms 145:18, The LORD is near to all who call upon Him, To all who call upon Him in truth.
To call upon someone requires us to be close enough to be heard. Of course, God is always close. But to call on someone means we know they are close.
In James 4:8 it says, “Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.” What a great promise to those who cry out to God in their need.
He is not far from anyone, but we must call out in truth. You can’t pull the wool over His eyes. You must cast all your care on Him (1 Peter 5:7) and believe He is there and cares for you.
I find comfort knowing God is near, knowing He is never too busy for me, and that He is able to hear me when I call.
