Read: Job 17-20
Marked: Job 17:1, My spirit is broken, My days are extinguished, The grave is ready for me.
The despondency in Job’s words is evident. He’s been put through the mill and doesn’t understand why. He is ready for death.
Life throws things at us that we least expect. Many people struggle with mental health issues, physical health, addictions, or other hurts, habits, and hang ups, things we may know little about.
Though Job had his friends with him they offered little comfort. He felt alone. Loneliness is an epidemic today in spite of all the social media we have access too.
We can learn from Job what someone going through what he is experiencing needs, and ready ourselves to bring hope and comfort to those who are depressed physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
