Read: 2 Chronicles 35-36
Marked:2 Chronicles 35:22, Nevertheless Josiah would not turn his face from him, but disguised himself so that he might fight with him, and did not heed the words of Necho from the mouth of God. So he came to fight in the Valley of Megiddo.
Josiah was a good king who brought the worship of God back to the people and restored the temple services and practices.
Yet, he involved himself in a war that wasn’t his (V20). Even after being warned that Necho was obeying the Lord, Josiah went to fight and lost his life.
This appears to be the catalyst for the final kings who did evil all the time and the end of the kingdom (chapter 36).
I should be careful not to involve myself in the conflicts of others without making it a matter of prayer and the word so I don’t find myself opposing God.
