Marked: Matthew 15:19, For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies.
The power of the heart towards evil never fails to amaze me. I am certainly capable of these things, and more. But the cure for an evil heart is a heart transplanted by the love of Christ.
In Christ I will no longer desire, or want, to let these evil things control me. Instead, I will desire to follow Christ. It isn’t always easy, but what I’ve learned is I have a choice in what I let control me.
