Do You Know God’s Will?…

Read: John 5-6
Marked: John 6:40, “And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in Him may have everlasting life; and I will raise him up at the last day.”

What is God’s will? That is a question I hear from unbelievers and believers. Knowing God’s will is believing Him. You don’t need to know God’s will to believe Him, but by believing Him you will come to know His will.

And we can’t come to believe Him until we come to believe in His Son Jesus Christ because when we see the Son, we see the Father who through the Son gives eternal life to all who believe in Him. This is a God’s will.

Do you want to know the will of God? Come to the Son and believe. Not only will you know God’s will for your life, but you will also receive eternal life and be raised up at the last day.

A Light in the Darkness…

Read: John 3-4
Marked: John 3:19-20, “And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed.”

Jesus told Nicodemus that in order to see the Kingdom of God he had to be born again. This is a spiritual rebirth. It’s a change of heart. It’s a move from darkness into light.

But many don’t want to move and therefore, stand condemned. The condemnation is that men loved darkness rather than light.

The Word of God is the light in the darkness. It exposes the evil that we do. When we see our darkness through the light of God’s Word we will also see our need for salvation.

And when we see our need for salvation we will also see that God doesn’t condemn us because of our darkness, but sent Jesus that through Him we might be saved. He is the light of the world.
