Read: 2 John 1; 3 John 3
Marked: 3 John 1:11, Beloved, do not imitate what is evil, but what is good. He who does good is of God, but he who does evil has not seen God.
I can’t assume because the Holy Spirit resides in me that everything is going to be easy now and that sin no longer tempts me.
Living for Christ still requires choices to be made. Having Christ means living for Him instead of living for myself. My desire should be to do what He would do. Therefore, I must not imitate evil, but imitate Christ.
It is through God’s word I learn what evil is and how to avoid it and through the Holy Spirit have the power to do good.
