The Righteous Judge…

Read: Revelation 19-22
Marked: Revelation 19:11, Now I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And He who sat on him [was] called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war.

When Jesus came as a man, born in obscurity, dying horribly and publicly, rising from the dead, revealed only to His followers, He came as a reconciler to bring men back to God, not to condemn the world, but to save it.

In this verse in Revelation the end of all things has come. Christ is now revealed as Judge of the world, ready to make war. This is a different picture from the Jesus we normally see, but it is the same Jesus.

He said this time would come. All who believe in Him will be separated from all who reject Him. Those who reject Him will be judged and cast into the lake of fire. While those who receive Him will remain with Him for all eternity.

Who Do You Worship?

Read: Revelation 12-18
Marked: Revelation 13:8, All who dwell on the earth will worship him, whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.

We all worship someone or something. We hold on to things and elevate them. For some, it may be themselves. For others, a sports figure or Hollywood icon. But the One who should be worshipped often receives no place in our hearts.

A time will come when a choice must be made. Worship the Lord, or worship another. If we do not worship God our Creator, then our names will not be written down in the Book of Life which means we belong to another.

The end of all things will make plain where we stand. Either we stand with the King of kings, or we stand with the Beast of beasts. Who, or what, we worship is important.
