Read: Genesis 41-42
Marked: Genesis 41:40, “You shall be over my house, and all my people shall be ruled according to your word; only in regard to the throne will I be greater than you.”
Joseph is a type of Jesus. Sold as a slave, imprisoned, left to languish, and thought to be dead by his brothers.
Like Christ coming out of the tomb, Joseph was taken out of prison, and made sovereign over all Pharaoh’s house and his people, and revealed to his brothers. Jesus is King and is over all nations.
Through Joseph, his brothers, and the rest of his family, found life and were saved. In Jesus we find life, are saved, and are ruled according to His Word.
All will bend the knee to Jesus, whether we want to or not, just as the Egyptians were made to do to Joseph (V43). We can either accept it or not.
