Read: Psalms 56; 120; 140-142
Marked: Psalms 56:3-4, Whenever I am afraid, I will trust in You. In God (I will praise His word), In God I have put my trust; I will not fear. What can flesh do to me?
Fear is something that can make me a prisoner. There are some who fear the outside and so never leave their house. Then there are those who fear the unknown and live in anxiety or depression because they don’t know what to do.
David did. He placed his trust in God whenever fear struck him. And he had much to be afraid of at this moment in his life. Friend and foe alike were seeking him and wanted to kill him. But he resolutely maintained his faith and trust in God (I will praise His Word (V4)).
And because he trusted in God, he did not worry about what others might do to him. What can flesh do to us?
