Discipleship Matters – Making a commitment to follow Jesus

Understanding the Message of the Bible:
What gives you confidence that you are going to heaven? How do you know you have eternal life?

Dig Into the Bible:
1 John 5:11-13,
11 And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. 12 He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. 13 These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may [continue to] believe in the name of the Son of God.

Have you ever been in court? During a trial testimony is given and the expectation is that the testimony is the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. The Word of God is the testimony about eternal life, what it is, and how it is received.
