Read Psalms 1-2; 15; 22-24; 47; 68
Marked: Psalms 68:20, Our God [is] the God of salvation; And to GOD the Lord [belong] escapes from death.
The one thing that is common to all men is death. No matter how well I’ve lived my life, or how poorly, death will be the end of me. Or is it? We may think death is the end. Others are not so sure.
Christians are sure that there is life after death. The Bible teaches that God is a God of salvation. But salvation from what? The simple answer is sin because we have all sinned and fall short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23). There is a penalty’s to be paid for sin.
Romans 6:23 says that the wages of sin is death. But God also demonstrates His love toward us that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us (Romans 5:8). So Christ the Saviour saves us from the penalty of sin which is death.
But how do we received salvation in Christ? Through faith. Romans 10:9-10 tells us that we only have to confess with our mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in our heart that God has raised Him from the dead and we will be saved.
It is with our heart that we believe unto righteousness and with our mouth that confession is made unto salvation. God is the God of salvation and God makes the way of escape. Even from death.
