Walking Free from Sin…

Read: Psalms 119
Marked: Psalms 119:133, Direct my steps by Your word, And let no iniquity have dominion over me.

Sin is what brings death to every man, woman, and child. Yet, even when we come to the Lord we continue to struggle with sin. But the Bible clearly says we are no longer slaves to sin (Romans 6:22). So why is it that we believe we will never overcome sin?

Are we simply excusing ourselves because we choose sin rather than Jesus? The truth is that most don’t read, study, and apply the Scriptures and thus have no direction in what they do or don’t do.

The Psalmist called on God to direct his steps. How? “By Your Word”. It is by the Word of God that we find iniquity will have no dominion over us. Psalm 119 begins with, “Blessed are the undefined in the way, who walk in the law of the Lord!”

To be free from sin and remain undefined we must walk in the law of the Lord.
