Read: Ecclesiastes 1-6
Marked: Ecclesiastes 3:16-17, Moreover I saw under the sun: [In] the place of judgment, Wickedness [was] there; And [in] the place of righteousness, Iniquity [was] there. I said in my heart, “God shall judge the righteous and the wicked, For [there is] a time there for every purpose and for every work.”
Wickedness in the world doesn’t surprise me. What does surprise me is the wickedness found in our institutions such as our government and judicial systems where it is not supposed to be. They say, power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely.
Mankind, for the most part, doesn’t deal well with power. Truth and Justice don’t come naturally to us. But it does to God. It is in His nature. The Bible reveals God as a God of truth and justice.
We may not see truth and Justice applied consistently on earth, but we will see it applied by God consistently. One day we will all stand before this True and Righteous Judge and we will find what couldn’t be found on earth when God judges both the righteous and the wicked.
