Getting Advice…

Esther 1-5
Marked: Esther 1:20, “When the king’s decree which he will make is proclaimed throughout all his empire (for it is great), all wives will honor their husbands, both great and small.”

We all need advice on occasion. The king acted on the advice of his counsellors and then regretted it (C2:1).

Advice is easy to come by, just ask anyone about anything. But good advice, that which gives you clarity in a situation, that is golden. Proverbs 15:22 says, “Without counsel, plans go awry, but in a multitude of counsellors they are established.

It is best to seek more than one counsellor and then weigh the counsel with the Word of God. In this there is wisdom. How does the counsel I receive stack up against God’s Word?

There are many plant in a man’s heart, nevertheless, the Lord’s counsel—that will stand (Proverbs 19:21).
