The Records of God…

Read: Esther 6-10
Marked: Esther 6:1, That night the king could not sleep. So one was commanded to bring the book of the records of the chronicles; and they were read before the king.

Perhaps I feel that the good things I do are overlooked. The conspiracy Mordecai uncovered and reported did not go unnoticed but was written in a book. But by oversight, or other reason, Mordecai was never properly acknowledged as having saved the life of the king. But God knew. And at the right time God brought to light what Mordecai had done in service to the king.

I may never receive acknowledgment on this earth for my service to my King, but He knows what it is I’ve done, both the good and the bad, and keeps His own book of records.

In Malachi 3:16 we see those who fear the Lord have their names written in a book of remembrance. God claims all who are written in this book as His own.

In Revelation 20:12 we see another instance of books being opened, one which is the Book of Life. Anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire (Revelation 20:15). What is written about me in the records of God?
