No Other Name…

Read: Matthew 10
Marked: Matthew 10:32-33, “Therefore whoever confesses Me before men, him I will also confess before My Father who is in heaven. But whoever denies Me before men, him I will also deny before My Father who is in heaven.”

Who is Jesus to me? Is He just another wise man? A good, moral teacher and an upright example?

The word confess means not to deny. If I deny that Jesus is wise, a good teacher, moral and upright how does that affect my life? Or, how will that affect my eternity? It doesn’t. But if Jesus is who He says He is, the Son of God, the Saviour of the world, then denying Him has consequences both now and for eternity.

After Christ rose from the dead and revealed Himself to His disciples, Peter gave a powerful message in which he said, “Nor is there any other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12).
