Read: Galatians 1-3
Marked: Galatians 2:21, “I do not set aside the grace of God; for if righteousness [comes] through the law, then Christ died in vain.”
What we do, or don’t do (law keeping), doesn’t justify us. Only faith in Christ does. Because if we could be justified another way Christ died for nothing.
This is true when it comes to other things which people believe justifies them before God. Being a good person doesn’t justify us. Being spiritual doesn’t justify us. Believing other religions or philosophies doesn’t justify us. Being an atheist doesn’t justify us.
If any of these things could then Jesus died in vain. Jesus is the elephant in the room. What do we do with Him? For what purpose did He die if not to justify us?
