Marked: Genesis 20:2, Now Abraham said of Sarah his wife, “She [is] my sister.” And Abimelech king of Gerar sent and took Sarah.
This is now the second time Abraham has asked Sarah to lie for him. He did the same thing in Genesis 12:13. In our insecurities we fall back on sinful habits. Abraham was getting to know God and learning to rest on God’s promises.
To overcome insecurity we must come to know God and learn that sin does not produce security in any way; just the opposite.
