Read: Numbers 7
Marked: Numbers 7:89, Now when Moses went into the tabernacle of meeting to speak with Him, he heard the voice of One speaking to him from above the mercy seat that [was] on the ark of the Testimony, from between the two cherubim; thus He spoke to him.
The leaders of the people, on behalf of the congregation, brought offerings of dedication to the Lord.
It is a work of the Holy Spirit when a congregation dedicates themselves to the Lord. None gave less, and none gave more. No one sought to glorify themselves before the Lord through their gift. And God recorded each gift even though they were exactly the same.
Then Moses met with God and heard the voice of One speaking to him. Moses was the representative of the congregation before God and represented God to the congregation.
It’s a wonderful thing when leaders know the voice of God and hear from Him. This is how the body of Christ comes into the unity of the faith and knowledge when they are dedicated (devoted) to God, and have leaders who bring them the Word of God (Ephesians 4:11-16).
