Read: Judges 16-18
Marked: Judges 18:24, So he said, “You have taken away my gods which I made, and the priest, and you have gone away. Now what more do I have? How can you say to me, ‘What ails you?’ ”
Gods which are made by men are no gods at all. If they need to be taken or carried or moved by our power then they aren’t gods but objects to which we have ascribed deity.
God instructs in the first of the Ten Commandments not to make for ourselves an image of our own design. The true God cannot be imagined He can only be revealed and He has revealed Himself through His Word.
Don’t bow down and serve a god of your own making. Serve the living God of Scripture or you have nothing.
