Read: 2 Samuel 22-24
Marked: 2 Samuel 22:2-3, And he said: “The LORD [is] my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; The God of my strength, in whom I will trust; My shield and the horn of my salvation, My stronghold and my refuge; My Savior, You save me from violence.
Paul tells me in Romans 12:2 not to be conformed to the world but to renew my mind, that I may prove the good, acceptable, and perfect will of God.
David is an example of someone who has proven God’s will. Through trial and persecution and seeing God help him, David proved that God was his rock, fortress, and deliverer.
Until I put to action the things I learn from Scripture through faith, I can never really say this of God. How can I see He is my shield and salvation until I put Him to the test and call upon the Lord in my need (V4)?
