Read: Jeremiah 14-17
Marked: Jeremiah 14:7, O LORD, though our iniquities testify against us, Do it for Your name’s sake; For our backslidings are many, We have sinned against You.
Sin isn’t something we stumble into, it is something we do willfully.
Standing before a Holy and Righteous God my sin stands out, and I am without excuse. My sin testifies against me, and I am without hope.
God, whose name is Holy, must punish sin because of His name. Yet, He has made a way for me to be forgiven and still maintain His Holiness.
He, Himself, paid the price for my sin through His only begotten Son who took my sin, every last one of them, upon Himself and died in my place that I could live.
