Marked: Micah 4:1, Now it shall come to pass in the latter days [That] the mountain of the LORD’s house Shall be established on the top of the mountains, And shall be exalted above the hills; And peoples shall flow to it.
A glimpse of the future. Several portions of Scripture speak of the time when the King of kings will establish His throne in Jerusalem. This is one of them.
His throne will be established and He will rule from Jerusalem over the whole earth. From there He will teach us His ways and we shall walk in His paths. The law shall go forth and His reign will be a reign of peace and nations who will resort to war will be rebuked and He will cause them to beat their weapons into tools of agriculture (V3).
There will be no more war anywhere. People will come to Jerusalem to see the King and hear His words and peace will reign. He is the One spoken of by Isaiah the prophet in Isaiah 9:6-7, “For into us a child is born, unto us a Son is given; and the government will be upon His shoulder.
And His name will be called Wonderful, Counsellor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of His government and peace there will be no end, upon the throne of David and over His kingdom to order it and establish it with judgment and justice from that time forward and forever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.”
This is Jesus. And a glorious future awaits us when He comes again and reigns.
