The Lord often used parables to teach important spiritual truths. This chapter has a number of His parables. They are worth studying and meditating on.
The thing which keeps us from comprehending His parables is unbelief. Instead of approaching what Jesus says with an open mind, we close our eyes and ears so we do not see and do not hear and do not understand.
His words aren’t difficult, but our unbelief makes it difficult for us to open ourselves up to understanding. Beware unbelief.
