Where to Turn in Need…

Read: Job 1-4
Marked: Job 1:20, Then Job arose, tore his robe, and shaved his head; and he fell to the ground and worshiped.

Disaster came on Job in one day. He was wiped out financially and all his children were killed. It is no surprise, that in his grief, he tears his clothes and shaved his head.

But even in the midst of such grief and loss, he turns to God and worships.

I have never suffered such unimaginable loss and heartache and don’t know if I could find it within myself to worship God at such a time. But who else can you turn to for comfort if not God?

God knows our sorrow and pain. He knows the loss of a child and identifies with our grief. God is also the source of all we hold dear, so it makes sense to turn to Him in our hour of need, and worship Him.
